Seat time, wheels and tires, and safety gear are all great suggestions. I'll go with something simple and brake-related - Caliperfexion studs. Having these on the GT350 turns front brake pad swaps from a real pain to something nearly as simple as rear pad swaps. I now swap pads before and after every track event so I can run track-appropriate pads when necessary and street-friendly pads the rest of the time.
That's smart!

Gotta say so far, tires. Yes all sorts of other stuff has helped, and clearly seat time will make a huge difference, but thats a slow stepped improvement.

I swapped from all seasons to race rubber. Instantly dropped seconds on short autoX track and gave a huge boost in confidence on large course. Sliding everywhere to sticking like glue really changes how you can approach and exit turns.

To me, the best car mod has absolutely been my instructors at every single HPDE event that I have been during my rookie journey thus far.
It is just like a book. you have all experience of the writer right before you. Such is a great instructor, you have all his experience right beside you.
Key aspects have stayed with me, such as: 'Always let the car know what you are doing, never neutral' - Alex, 'Where the eyes look, that is where the car goes' - Mike, 'Seats will let you feel the car' - Matt, 'Keep car straight if you go off road' Rich, 'Drivers either sit behind the car, on top of the car or in front of the car' - Charles, 'Always have an exit strategy ready' - Cameron.
All my instructors have allowed me to not reinvent the wheel of driving, and instead, propelled me to focus on me as a driver at an amazing pace.
To me, there is a definite dopamine high when I materiaize the counsel of my instructors at the track and receive their solid  of approval!

I won the previous month givaway and just wanted to give a very thankful shoutout to @EBC Brakes !

I have primarily used Gloc pads in the past, so I tried to go with a similar compound to the R12 Front/R10 Rear setup that has been working well for me so far. Per EBC's recommendation and considering my current driving level, I opted to go with the RP1 compound up front and "Blue Stuff" compound at the back for the Mach 1.

The pads arrived today and they appear to be constructed very well and certainly have a high quality feel to them. My next event wont be until March, but I plan to try them out then and will report back. Thanks again!

Thanks for the update and recommended cross references. I think there more than a couple people on here that are running 12s and 10s. Will be waiting for the update.

I have to say riding with my friend for quite a few weekends and many sessions at my home track was absolutely priceless for learning. It's what got me hooked and eventually get in to the hobby. Then, diligence and more diligence on what to do and not what to do before I did any upgrades then any track time with an instructor. I see many things working together but the big brake upgrade and fluid from stock would be my top physical upgrade for safety and performance.

Wow! This is awesome! Thank you!!! I'll PM this evening once on my laptop. Thanks again!

@EBC Brakes A very nice surprise after work today! My pads arrived! Pretty awesome stuff! RP-1 For the 2015+ PP 6 piston Brembo's up front and Bluestuff for the stock S197 rear calipers. These setup is comparable to Gloc 12's and 10's. I added an extra photo with the part numbers if anyone is running an S197 with the big brake upgrade and stock rears and wants to give EBC a try. It may be some time until I can get these installed and tested. I have a few more track days left on my current pads and rotors and really want to do it right and use new rotors along with the EBC's for a valid workout. Thank you EBC!
