I bet u can get into the teens with goodyear eagle f1 3r‘S. Way better than sport cups
That’s what I was on the f1 3rs. My first session out I had a brand new one come apart on my so kind of lost faith in them. Got the 223 on a used set of 3rs j had with me but want to try some slicks next.

Rear
Yikes.

Front or rear? Goodyear say anything?

The 500 begs for tire, I looked at those and didn’t want to downsize to run them.
Haven’t reached out yet. Have run them for awhile with great luck and best performance street tire I have used on the track. Calling Goodyear Monday. They far outperform any wider tires I have run. Just scary with this failure.

Very surprised you had any issue with the Goodyears, we beat on the 3s for about 10 straight hours at Daytona in the 90 degree heat and rain with no issue.
I’m thinking it was a manufacturing defect in the tire.

That looks like the perfect track for newcomers to the sport to go to --- plenty of run off! When Ford Performance had their school at Utah Motorsports Campus I used to recommend all my friends and customers go their for a driving school as it was super safe and had run off out the whazoo! Looks like Oregon Raceway is similar and that makes it a good place to Instruct/Teach in my estimation. Looks like the track may have been recently repaved so that is a plus and thanks for posting your video. I bet folks are checking out the track schedule for future events there in 2022!?

Great weekend with good friends at Road America.

New PB in GT350R ST2 Race car: 2:24.214. Car was about 150lb under ST2 class weight.

Missed the apex at T5, there's a sub 24 in this car sometime!!!!:

Nick was killing it at Road America this past weekend. Was so jealous I wasn't able to get on track. I'm sure Craig Capaldi isn't going to coach him anymore, he is getting too fast for his fellow ST2 class mate.LOL. There was a race prepped GT500 that did a 2:26 not too long ago, better sharpen your pencil.

Capaldi likely has a few tricks up his sleeve, but had to laugh that he may want to stop coaching " Quick Nick!" Nick has been extremely fast in ST2 for awhile, but those two are likely glad to have each other to feed off of, since competition breeds further success. ST2 in the " Great Lakes Region " of NASA has to be a real " Horse Race " with those two on track and it makes me want to get to a " Great Lakes " event just to watch the battle!

Bill there are 4 Horses is ST2 now, me, Leo Capaldi, Craig Capaldi and Nick. I watch from afar but the three of them run nose to tail at the front most every race. Great fun to be part of the team.

I am a Ford Racing School graduate at Miller Motorsport Park (UMC). Was a fantastic experience with great instructors. The School is now at Charlotte and is still a great way to advance from HPDE to Comp school prep.

Oh, I was well aware of the move, which I still think was not in the best interest of drivers because the hazards at Charlotte Motor Speedway are much greater, but the school is of high quality and I am friends with a couple of the Instructors. I know a couple others that used to work at Utah ( one is a super close friend ) , but they did not follow the move to NC since they live on the West Coast. Everyone seems to have a great time at the Ford Performance School, but the old site at Miller was ,in my estimation, one of the top tracks to learn on in the entire US ( heck I even sent a past client and his friends from Japan there ).
