Not asking about the tires but I'm sure other will agree. Don't mix match tires on the track. As far as lap time I have no idea because I am not familiar with VIR. But have fun and be safe.
I generally wouldn’t mix match tires either but I will say, having the car understeer more with the weaker tires up front has been nice for learning. I’ll have my square setup on in a few weeks before my next event.

Ran VIR today, TNIA event. This is my third TNIA.
2019 6spd GT PP1 - completely stock. Rear tires MPS4S, front tires p zero Nero all seasons (don’t ask)… Stock sizes 255/275.

Not sure if this is an okay lap or not but The best lap is in the picture. the front tires are shot now, extremely glazed over. Ordered a 19x10 square setup and replacing the fronts with a 275 to match the rear.

Not a terrible lap but there is about 5 seconds more in the car with those tires and stock pads. As a reference I ran a 2:19.50 in a Hertz 2017 Mustang GT/Automatic on 245 Pirelli Scorpion all season tires. Lets just say I was between cars at the time. Try and keep matched tires on any car, especially on track, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s are good tires, the Pirellis are not.

Stevespo is correct, the Pee-rellies absolutely suck and the Corsa models delaminate and even break their bands under hard driving ---- ask someone who knows! Destroyed a set on my Boss 302 and watched others do the same on Vipers. Not a fan at all, though I will say I do like their race slicks so not all is bad. I have actually heard good things about the Trofeos too, but the price has always scared me away.

Go to the first page of this thread and check out the times from others. You can compare car and tire specs to at least some degree, and you'll get an idea as to how much of a driver mod is available to you.

Mid-Ohio Sports Care Course: Full w/Chicane: 1:40.25 (PB)
'20 GT350R (stock motor, suspension, etc)
Michelin PSC2 (N-Spec): 305/30/19 square on Apex SM-10
G-Loc R16 front, R10 rear (stock pads would have done the same. Mid-O doesn't really need such aggressive pads)
Factory R alignment

Another half-and-half day at Mid-Ohio yesterday with Autointerests. The first half of the day was fogged and damp, with patches of outright rain. The second half was mostly dry with blue skies and dark clouds. I am inching closer to the 1:39xx mark and doing it on N-spec Sport Cup 2's with 9 or 10 days on them. I am very impressed with the longevity of these tires (much more durable than the 350R spec), and the linear feel and consistent feedback. This was the final session of the day...open track both literally and session name. I had just finished replacing pads on all 4 corners and doing a shot-gun bedding down Steams Corners Rd, so it took a few laps to sort out braking pressure and response going into China Beach. 😂. As always, I am over-slowing turn 1. Even with the old tires I know I should have carried 3-5 mph more). I also had a few bogged hills and a lift going through the esses to control my pace a bit leading up to the 10b-11 complex (trust issues with the old tires).

Anyway, I am happy to see myself picking up pace and dropping time on old rubber. Fresh rubber would easily get me under 1:40, but now I want to do it on old stuff.

Shaved 2 sec of this time down to blackhawk. New slicks are crazy good. Going back in 30 days.

Just ran MPH ( Motorsports Park Hastings ) this past weekend with the Central Region of NASA. I slapped a used set of Blacksheep 1s favorite rubber donuts ( Hoosier R7s ) and took 1.3 seconds off my previous best at the track in the Mach 1. I actually ended up running the fastest time I have ever run in a Mustang at the track, and considering the Mach is 400 lbs heavier and down 40 HP from my Boss 302S, that run is a testament to how fast the newly paved track is --- a baby's butt is not as smooth as MPH, ha.

MPH is a 2.15 mile asphalt road course with 12 turns, laid down with a 2 seam process for extreme smoothness. My best time was done on a used set of 315/30/19 Hoosier R7s, mounted on silver, 19x11 Apex wheels --- 1:34.194

First time going to ACC. Wow. I have a good friend that is a member and it was an awesome experience. Fit my driving style and the build of my car perfectly. I had a 1.36 in the works and blew turn 11 bad. Cant wait to go back! Love this place.

TMSBoss, TonyMustang302, and I all agree with you, Autobahn is a great road course, beautiful grounds and a really fun track to play and race on. Those two will likely meet you there before me, but I hope to get back to the Joliet track in 23! Thanks for posting the video!

That would be super cool to race together on a weekend. Off to Road America Sept 10th and 11th with MVP.

Took 5 secs off this time out. Still dont trust the old brakes, new ones going on Wednesday! Then off to Blackhawk again.

New track surface is much quicker, this is probably 5 seconds faster than what I was running previously. Still need to go through my videos to see if any are good there, but I haven't been able to get Harry's laptimer to overlay previously anyways.
