  1. Tire falls off cliff

    1. We have tried the Tire Rack heat cycling and it does not work (should say it does not work for us). Waste of money. 2. If anything seriously goes wrong with the tire, Hoosier will not replace it if it has been Tire Rack heat cycled. 3. If properly heat cycled and allowed to cure, for us...
  2. My History: My best road racing Mustangs (some w/ pics). It won 65 podiums.

Seems to me you're kinda partial to red! Just sayin'.
  3. 3Vs...We're Not Dead Yet!

I would like to revisit the power steering pump premature failing phenomenon. On the FR, I use Ford Remans. Although more expensive, and do not have a warranty, consensus says they last the longest and I'm not willing to experiment with others. Do you think it could be because we are running...
  4. Panhard bar relocation discussion

Nice setup. Could you please show a picture of the RLCAs front and rear as they are bolted into the brackets? TIA.
  5. Road Course Track Guides

    That's a lousy demo video.
  6. S197 Upper Control Arm (UCA) Bushings

@67GTA, the teams ran them because they had to according to rules. If they had a choice they would not have. If this is for your race car, look at the Steeda adjustable with heim and large spherical on the axle. May not be for everyone, but for me it works very well. I like firm, solid, no...
  7. 3Vs...We're Not Dead Yet!

Regarding what Norm said in post #67. Just to put some rough numbers on a historically rule of thumb: Rubber= 2-3* PA Poly= 1.5-2* Heim Joints= 0.5-1.5*
  8. Introduction and sway bar question.

How do you finish off the edge to fill the voids after you cut the Alumalite?
  9. ABS bleeding tool

    Good question. Subscribed.
  10. Custom pads for 4 pot Bremen - how much thicker can I go?

On the Brembo 4-piston race caliper the Ti heat shield plates will take up all the room. Barely a red hairs worth of space left. We're talking new pads of course. But not sure what setup you have. Suggestion: Install new pads with new rotors and measure how much space you have left. I think you...
  11. 1-2-3-4, I declare pad war! ST43, Carbotech XP??, DTC70, etc

PFC pads anyone? IMO they do everything they are supposed to, and do it very well.
  12. Racing Wets Rain Tires

OK, let me be a little more specific. Historically, the "experts" say (on my car and weight) never run more than a 275 so it will cut through the water, and not hydroplane. You're thoughts??? Please chime in.
  13. Racing Wets Rain Tires

It is 2020. On an S197, 2008 Mustang GT racecar, 3600# race weight, what would you consider the "best" width full racing wets?Class rules say I am allowed 315 on fronts and 335 on rear. I only have available 18x10.5 wheels. Not concerned about DOT rating. TIA.
  14. MM 6pt roll bar modification planned

Better, but just don't get t-boned in the drivers's side or slide sideways into a pillar or end of armco. I realize your rules are loose, and you want to also cruise the car on the street, but as far as racing safety, you can't have it both ways. You're wheelin faster now and are on track with...
  15. Seat question, FIA certified? or not that important.

In my opinion, it should not be what is minimally mandated.Safety items and components should be at the top of your budget list. Get the best you can afford, or better. All else is secondary.WHAT IS YOUR HEAD AND BODY WORTH TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY?
