Mustang Dark Horse track use options

While not DH specific there is some good 10R80 cooling info on this site, e.g. this thread.

    Voodoo w/TR-9070 DCT

HTG Standalone GCU could be worth exploring. They support BMW (Getrag) DCTs and they do say they will support a variety of transmissions. It seems likely the Tremec inputs are reasonably to another dual clutch trans.

S550 Upside Down and on the Wrong Side

Interesting to see a few Mustang people on here also have 944s. This is my S2 down here in New Zealand. As a small aside as I am also from the upside down part of the globe but my 944 is left hand drive I alternate between normal right hand drive (using left hand for gearshift and handbrake)...

TMO was born in California, please take time check on our many friends there and wish them safety with the floods, winds, etc.

Hope everyone stays safe and gets through OK. We had terrible flooding around this time last year in my area of New Zealand so I empathize strongly with what people will be going through.

Replacement rear swaybar drop links for a Laguna Seca?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I really appreciate it.I spent a bunch of time on it over the weekend. I ended up finding a Centric link on Rock Auto that says it's "26mm". I tried cross checking it with other sites and it's inconclusive as to whether it actually is 26mm (or mis-labled)...

Replacement rear swaybar drop links for a Laguna Seca?

Hi team,I have a clunky rear sway bar that is caused by a worn bush in one of the drop links. The rear swaybar on the Laguna Seca is 26mm (CR3Z-5C488-J) and the OEM replacements from Ford appear NLA.Does anyone have any suggestions on a solution? I can't seem to find any direct replacements...

    Raybestos Rotors

I'm using them for the last 6 or so track days. They've been fine so far. I can't comment on pad wear as I don't have the long term experience with Mustangs, but just based on broader experience it seems fine.

Happy BD to our SBY Warrior Down Under !

Ha, thanks team. Clearly there's no escaping the watchful eye of Mr Pemberton! 😝It certainly summer here at the moment, around 80F and 95% humidity. We have done a few little things on the Boss recently, but I'll update the main thread when I get some time.

Restoring Airbag functionality after deployment ?

I bought new airbags for steering wheel and seats and new seatbelts, though you can get the belts rebuilt. The clock spring was fine and the airbag module can be sent away and re-coded for around $50, e.g. at Safety Restore (these people also rebuild the belts by the look of it).For the seats...

    coolers for road racing?

With the talk about -12AN lines and flow restrictions of -10AN would anyone have any concerns running a thermostatic oil filter stand with -12 adapters and lines?I have been looking at this Improved Racing one with their Gen 1 Coyote Remote Oil Filter adapter and using a Setrab 948.This...

    Track Related License Plates !

You guys are lucky with your 7 numbers/letters, so many more meaningful combinations available. We're stuck with a maximum of 6 in New Zealand. I have a couple of plates. AG9MM (Silver bullet) and UP4AXN, the latter I was thinking of putting on the Boss. Though lately I have been looking at...

Has anyone done the Magnum XL swap and regretted it?

Might be a bit left field, but has anyone considered a BMW DCT swap? There seems to be a lot more parts and electronics to support this type of swap nowadays.
