Thank you. I’ve done the first two, but not once has there been any crunch. It just won’t go into reverse. Stressing here that I‘m not pushing much harder than normal or trying to force it in. Maybe it would crunch if I did? If it doesn’t go easily, I lift off the clutch, depress again, and put...
Correct. Stock shifter. Probably should’ve done it when the clutch was replaced but $$$ and timing was terrible. And thanks for the link to bleeding procedure!
Thanks. So why, once it goes into gear after another try or two, does it perform without issue? I don’t understand how when moving it then shifts gears nicely and smoothly. And can anyone tell me if it’s ok to race the car with this? I’m assuming no, to be conservative, until I understand...
So I had the Exedy clutch installed after blowing mine up last month. I‘m well into the break-in period, but the car won’t go right into reverse when I start it in the morning. I have to push in the clutch 1 or 2 times and go into 1st or 2nd gear beforehand. Once I’ve done this, the shifter goes...
Apologies for posting and vanishing! Thanks fellas. It’s been just almost continuous sh**storm since I posted, including my first Covid experience.I did get the Exedy. What I forgot about was the break-in period. Sheesh. So I wasn’t going to have the car ready in time regardless. And about...
Stock clutch is toast on my 2017 base model GT. I’m probably going to need something more robust, as I’m at 471 rwhp. Need to get something ordered asap, and I’m clueless. I assume single disc is more reliable? What to get? Desperate…thanks in advance!
Used 3 inch 80 grit disc on my drill. Worked great. Picked up an FTD yesterday and I think these pads had something to do with it. Clearly better than the stock Brembo pads which were still newish. Thanks, as usual, for the help!
G-Loc says that using a their pad with used rotors requires the residue from the old pads to be completely removed from the rotors. Is brake cleaner enough or do I need to sand them? Or what? Specifically, how should I do this? Any help much appreciated.
Thanks. Glad that wasn’t a dumb question. Hah.The car’s now gone 170 miles and 5 drive cycles since resetting the CEL. It still hasn’t come back on, so between that and the clean log, I’m going to run her, but pay close attention.
