Tony - just show them a picture of the door handles. I don't think how bad the wrap install can be overstated, ha.Also - if there's no pink sparkle in the white on V2 I'm going to be very disappointed. Also - like Matt said, hearts on the center caps
The sim has been such a good investment. I was telling Tony - I've spent the last year driving GT3 and GT4 cars with all the traction control turned off to really dial in my reflexes and smooth out my inputs. It's really helped improve my confidence and should help me be more comfortable in the...
No primer coat - bare metal everywhere I could. If over original paint/primer, I roughed it up with the toughest scotchbrite pad I could. For the cage, I just scrubbed it down real road with a scotchbrite pad and then cleaned with acetone. Worked great so far - no chips on the cage!
I swear every time you talk about the trailer you add a couple feet to its lengthSheeesh. How'd we get to the point where we are roasting me in Tony's thread 🤣On a serious note - it was awesome to finally meet you in person, Tony! (And Steve and the SSR crew). Next time I'll make the trek...
Man, I wish. I found out this week that the tuner won't be able to get the car on the rollers until mid april :(thanks! I am hoping it's quick - will be very upset if it's not. ha Hopefully we'll know in a couple months!
while I document and edit videos of the plumbing and wiring installs, I've begun planning my next item on the list - the roof and windshield.Plan is to trim the roof sides to fit and then glue down with panel bond to attach it. For the windshield, will likely also glue in so I have a...
Had an eventful weekend. First, got the car on the ground for the first time in 24 months and tested the air jacks with tires. So pumped to try this at the trackI also used this as an opportunity to weigh the car. Real happy with this progress so farHad a bit of "doh!" moment when I...
I thought this too when I got it. But then all of a sudden, I was seeing places to use it every where. I needed a way to mount my Chillout controller in the vent on the dash. Simple 3D printed vent hole fill in with locking tabs on the back.I needed to mount the Penske remote coil over...
I came in completely blind and asked @5.2 liters of democracy for a recommendation since he'd been printing stuff for me. I got the X1 Carbon Combo based on his recommendation and its damn near idiot proof. I've done nothing but pull it out of the box, remove some screws and packing stuff for...
Sneak peak at the progress I made this weekend. Still need to take more detailed pics and document everything, but all harnesses are done. Finished up the main engine and intake harnessesIntake will still need to be tucked up on the manifold a bit. Working on some 3D printed brackets that get...
Love the livery idea - f*ck cancer!I'm using the 3 kg Lifeline Novec system - electric so that I can install a protectowire on the roof of the cabin in case of fire while passed out. I liked the idea of having a system that will auto-deploy if I can't trigger it and the cabin is engulfed in...
