Going through the to do list, not getting much done. Chasing a clunk in the rear (should the propellor on a Cortex watts have any fore/aft play?) and mounted up the 18x12s with 295/35/18 Yokohama A052s for giggles.
Tried these Advan AD052 295/35/18s on 18x12s. I was a little worried it'd be too stretched but tire looks happy on there. Looking forward to trying them out
That's what I run now, but I think 18x12s would be a pretty small segment for Apex to push.To make 12s work, I used offset struts up front. The back has OEM configured shocks+springs/Watts link/bump stop bracket mod.Unlike 18x11s, 12s take some mod work and you have to hack a Cortex setup...
Edit: only 2 of the 6/32" tread 295s left on Tire Rack. Also, I think I mis-remembered tire width, but I do recall the 295s running larger than the 11.8" shown on Tire Rack. I'll measure and post a picture.In other news, they released the 7/32" 315/30/18...
On the Cortex setup it's only a nominal amount more to use 315s in the back. Been a while since I ordered mine. No welding needed on their setup. All bolt on stuff.That said I still ended up going divorced springs and conventional shocks in the back (Cortex uses adapters and eye-eye shocks)...
