  1. PPI Shop in Charlotte

As the title indicated, I might need a shop in Charlotte to do a PPI on a '95 Cobra track car.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Hope you all are already back at it.Marc
  2. Track Time Videos

Nice driving there. Moving to middle FL in March with my broken S197. Maybe you could show me the way around Sebring when I get back on track.
  3. Track Time Videos

Great driving . . . that was Cory in the Cup car . . . I saw a lot of his wing at the August event . . . well for very brief periods of time anyway.
  4. Nankang AR1

I found that 33 hot put the tire roll right at the tip of the carrots. My car was pretty much OE weight. Phil's Tire says, for the heavy cars, that 32-33 should be the max, any higher and they don't play as well apparently. The grip was amazing for the two days that car was running.
  5. S197 3V The Good . . . . and the Ugly

Last weekend at VIR was bittersweet. The Good:1. I was fortunate to meet and spend some time with O-Man. 1st class all the way and seasoned (in a good way) veteran instructor/driver. Thoroughly enjoyed talking shop with him and for his calming effect when the engine died.2. The Nankang AR-1s...
  6. VIR Full

Virginia International Raceway - VIR Full - 2:15.100

Temp in the high 70s and bone dry. First full on session with the Nankang AR-1 square set-up. Still feeling out the tires. Clearly they are capable of much lower times which I could not explore because of the engine failure on Sunday.
  7. My S197 Got crushed by a trio of M3's on trackday at Waterford Hills MI

I believe that the issue has to do with swept area of the disc and therefore less heat transfer to the brake fluid. As you know the pads are the same so braking power is the same.Just my 2¢.
  8. My S197 Got crushed by a trio of M3's on trackday at Waterford Hills MI

I'm running the full GT500 brake upgrade, front and rear with Hawk DT 70/60 bias. Could not believe the stopping power. This upgrade is a must when going up again the likes of the E46 and newer M3s. Hell, it's a must for going against any of these modern flamethrowers.10 days on 1st set of...
  9. Track Time Videos

The Spec Corvette series recently went to the NS-2R (not the CRS, sorry) tires. I just had a set of the AR-1 mounted for my trip to VIR next weekend. Will report afterwards.
  10. Comment by 'Reloader' on the Lap time of '1:31.039' at the track 'New Jersey Motorsports Park'

Both PCA & BMW used to do a Saturday/Sunday event with a day on each track which was perfect.
  11. Comment by 'Reloader' on the Lap time of '1:31.039' at the track 'New Jersey Motorsports Park'

My biggest disappointment with NJMP was when they failed to finish the planned connection of the two tracks.Together the configuration would have been outstanding. Now two days on either is tedious.
