Back to Harbor Freight, get a bearing separator.
The bearing likely has enough of a radius on the back shoulder for this to start between bearing and spindle shoulder. Just need to get it to start and "crack" the corrosion in the joint that has frozen your bearing on.
Here is a picture of my setup, or at least a pic of when I was mocking it up. Just seeing the note Dave mentioned me in November. The link you had of the turn downs is what I started with. I took the cones out and had them welded inside the removable muffler tips I had. Than as needed to...
That was me with the SBY Boss in CAMC that Bill talked to. I was on Yoks, and they are very vague when hot no matter how much water you dump on them between runs. Great first run tire though. I finished 10th in CAMC, and bet I could have matched that with BFGs since it was a hot 4th heat, 2nd...
As Dave said, the cold weather in Lincoln really skewed the results towards Yoks. Glad was on them though, they felt like magic on the first run in sub 50 degree morning temperatures. Was cold and windy enough that I actually put tire blankets on the Yoks between runs (single driver).
Will...
Mine has also been doing that. I have swapped bank 1 and 2 sensors, the code followed the sensor. Replaced O2 sensor, was good again for awhile then came back, but tied to the other O2 sensor. Replaced that one, good again for awhile but just came back this past weekend.
I did just find a...
Yes it does, November to March. Gets a full tank of gas and some stabilizer when put away. Mine can't be the only one that sits over winter.
Maybe a few years of that has taken a toll on the fuel injectors?
So problem with throwing codes for O2 sensors (upstream) Last year had a stuck lean code drivers side. Switched sensors, code followed sensor. Replaced sensor. Ran 2 or 3 autox after that with no issue. Put car away for winter. Pulled out a couple of weeks ago, drove 20 miles or so, code...
I have been autox a 2013 Boss in CamC for several years and I have had stability turn back on in a few instances. Seems like it would be when you get into a tank slapper type event. You may be able to manage it, but the computer doesn't think you can. Or a spin, comes back on most times...
Main reason for asking was to try and put some numbers on the expected change in acceleration. Engineer geek trying to put numbers to something I already know will be an improvement. (overthinking!)
Application is Boss motor with headers/tune used for AutoX.
I am leaning towards the Excedy...
Anyone here know or has calculated the moment of inertia for S197 5.0 flywheel or OEM clutch?
Have values for aftermarket flywheel or clutch? Excedy, Spec, others?
Will the OEM 2013 Boss EPAS rack work with Global West's Del-a-Lum bushings? Any worry about steering shake?
Or will the Ford Racing EPAS rack be required with these?
Car is used for Autocross on BFG Rival S tires, so not on R-comp.
