thats very true. However I will say…..My recollection of autocross (other than getting sunburned!) was 95-100°F days where RE71R users were constantly spraying and airing down after their runs, all the while complaining about going slower because their tires got hot and greasy. It seems...

I have to finally admit...It's no longer a street car anymore. Gutted doors, no AC.....No more street driving LOL. Thank you both!

Having ran both RE-71RS and the CR-S, I would buy the CR-S over the RE-71RS no question. The CR-S has been faster for me, and is wearing better. When it came time to replaced my RE-71RS, I decided to go with the CR-S after reading this article...

Wow, I feel very fortunate then; I ordered mine from Tire Rack maybe 4 months ago? Were at my door in 2 days. Have been a fantastic tire.

I have enjoyed the Nankang CR-S much more than the RT660's for track use. Be sure to get the revised compound CR-S if you do.

That’s super wild, good detective work. You must be really getting after it, I have a lot of hours up there too and never had issues 😂. But I’d usually only go 10/10ths for a couple minutes; was always too scared of 5-0.I apologize I don’t remember what you’ve got done to your car so maybe...

Could this be CMCV related? Sadly I am a bit useless when it comes to CEL's because the only one my car has ever given me was when I forgot to tighten the gas cap 5 years ago. You replaced the throttle body and throttle pedal with OEM ford parts? Also, if you let the car warm up, shut it off...

S197 3V Fabman's build; How did we get here?

If you get 1st in NASA TT you get a two free Hoosiers right? Build your car around the A7/R7 and never have to pay for tires again. That's my plan.

What size do you run? Maybe I can take your leftovers. I have heard others say that they usually get slow after 4 HC.

Thank you! Means a lot coming from you. I am excited but also scared to enter the Hoosier world, where I am told a set of A7's is useless after 10 heat cycles 😂PS I need to pick up those rear brake caliper brackets + rotors from you at some point. My hope (fingers crossed) is a fresh a7...

    S197 Building A Track Capable 3v Mustang

It's been a while since I've been here!Changes to the car: tiresAfter only 24 heat cycles, I chorded my 295/35/18 RE71RS tires. They were a huge step up in grip compared to the continentals, but boy did it sting to see a chord after such a short amount of time. 24 heat cycles. Ouch. With...
