  1. Tuning problem - Auto to Manual - HP Tuners

I ended up putting in a manual pcm. HP Tuners can not do the task related to the transmission swap. The 3 dealers I tried wouldnt do it. There is a software programmer that can do it with the premium version but I didnt have so a spent a few hundred bucks on a manual pcm.
  2. S197 3V Advice on LSD options

Hi, so after my first track outing I have a few improvements to make on the car. It sure felt like in the tighter corners I had throttle induced wheel spin. So was I at the mechanical grip of the tires, was I just overdriving the car, was I spinning both or one wheel is the million dollar...
  3. Blocking off portions of the front grill for improved downforce and reduced drag

I will be completely blocking off the grill opening on the top portion of the bumper between the lights. I have ducted the lower opening to the rad. I also have lots and lots of hood vents. I have not found a spot ( 3 valve ) to install my aftermarket water temp sensor yet but I should hve...
  4. Tuning problem - Auto to Manual - HP Tuners

I got a answer on another thread, but my tuning software cant make the changes, the dealers locally wont make the change, and I dont want to buy the hardware that will make the change. So I will keep the auto pcm and if i can find someone with the right equipment to make the changes to the auto...
  5. S197 Team Old Goats

Now that I worked the bumper to fit flush against the fender I lost my 1 degree rake in the splitter. I have spent way way too much time on fitting and making the bumper removable. I have given up hope of bodyworking and painting the bumper this year, need to focus on getting to the track. The...
  6. Pics of your GT350 or S550 Mustang at the track!

This is killing me, still not ready to race but getting closer. Graphics went on yesterday. Back to the dyno shop next week to see if we can get it running properly, have a manual transmission PCM as a backup for that.
  7. S197 3V Auto to manual - hptuners ecu changes

Manuel at tudyno.com ( highly recommended 3v tuner ), says he can tune a autopcm to work with SCT tuning hardware, I have HP tuners, he doesnt think HP can do it. Its only money at this point. I have to decide once my tuner gives up. 1) Standalone engine management, expensive and have to wire...
  8. S197 3V Auto to manual - hptuners ecu changes

My tuner responded finally with the codes the car is throwing. p061c and p2106. I guess thats progress, I can start to do some googling. And I passed on the info from from the thread above, thanks for that info. It still has the auto diff for now and he want to change some ratios, but I dont...

  11. Tuning problem - Auto to Manual - HP Tuners

Hi, so we converted the car from Auto to Manual. Stayed with the AUTO PCM ( car is a 2005 ). Turned off PATS with HP Tuners and continued to work on the car. Its been brought to a dyno shop last week and they cant get the car running right, seems to close the throttle body off about 4000rpm...
  12. S197 Help ! coil over \ wheel issue

No clearance issues at test and tune. Small track. The car ran pig rich, not sure why so we were limited to 4000rpm. Fuel pressure at rail was 30psi. But we ran as fast as a 06 vette. Will be on the dyno in about a week to tune and sort the fuel issue out. Motor is in failsafe mode, I think...
