Out of curiosity, why didn't you opt for the S197 4 pot? they're a plug and play ez pz swap, and there's the stainless braided line or the boss302 lines you could use.
From my experience, do nothing else to the car to make it faster. Make yourself faster by setting up a lap timer/data acquisition and getting lap times. First you're going to need lap times to be consistent, then you can start playing around with the car in spots where you're comfortable...

I believe the risk comes from the piston in the caliper traveling further than designed. Luckily our group typically is pretty good about swapping out pads at proper intervals, but i found it to be approx 0.15" on my set of calipers. I was going to do a measurement with new pads before I try...
I'm pretty excited to go, Only been to Gingerman one other time with stock pads on 2 piston calipers (read: brake fade express.) I've since upgraded to the 4 pot Brembos on ST47 pads sourced by a guy on here. Looking forward to meeting y'all there!
