What an engine, as a kid I remember building several models with this engine in it, lots of little pieces for that exhaust system.
IIRC A.J. Foyt bought the Indy car engine rights from Ford. Wonder if AJ has a few of these laying around? I believe this engine was also going to be used in the...
I worked at the DOT in my state. In the 90's everything was pretty cool, people doing their jobs and management that knew the business. Then politics started to creep in, every new commissioner with their new agenda. Reshuffle the deck chairs, sell some deck chairs, junk some deck chairs, buy...
I owned a 78 Fairmont Futura, an 84 T-Bird and a 91 Probe, all decent cars but didn't seem to have quite the same power as Bob's cars.
Thanks for the Memories, R.I.P. Bob

If that's a Whiteline Watts linkage set up you have on it you should inspect the bell crank part on the diff. Not sure if that's the correct description. Its the part the two rods connect to on the diff cover, some call it a propeller. Anyway, the "pins" that those two arms ride on have next to...
I'm in for seeing how many laps I can handle! Maybe we can do some kind of bet on this, x dollars says I can do 10 laps? But, I'd be happy just to get a ride around the block. I've been after a ride in any Ford GT since the car showed up in the early sixties.
Arch, my father-in-law, his response to a drop in the market - "they just put stocks on sale". It also helps when you can just let your investments ride, don't panic. And start young!
You need a three legged puller or the other option is a slide hammer for pulling axles. This type of slide hammer set up has a flange that will slide over the wheel studs, put some nuts on the studs and start banging away. I prefer the three legged puller. the legs grab the hub and the center...
I prefer long lug nuts with lots of threads, some of the short lug nuts don't have a lot of threads in them. Don't run the lug nuts off and on with the 1/2 impact gun. Less likely to gall the threads and no lube.
