Getting them off was not bundle of joy either. Torquing them tight was easier.

A 1/2" drive air-impact gun with at least 100psi (more, if possible) supply pressure will blast them right off.

IIRC the socket size was a bastard too and I had to use an adaptor to go from 1/2 to 3/4 drive because that's the only drive size my neighbor has in 1-7/16. Was pushing closer to 125 PSI. I got her on but it took some perseverance. But all-in-all, it was a pretty simple switch-out. I graded it a one cuss job.
