Clutch interlock switch adjustment?

Is there any adjustment to the clutch interloc switch? I have to practically stand on the pedal to get start the car.
The plunger on the switch has a ratchet mechanism built into it. If you pull straight out on the plunger, you’ll hear it ratchet out and it will reset to the longest position.
 
Word on the street is that you need to give it a good swift yank

I order a new one that will be in tomorrow am. The locking tabs broke so no way to keep it in place anyway, and the plunger has no teeth at all.

Up-Date, new switch installed, plunger about 1/2" longer than the old one and has the rachet teeth. All is well! :cool:
