Dash went dark

Having a good time at a track day in my 2017 GT 350 until my dash would go dark. It would happen intermittently and some times I would also loose my power steering when this happened. Checked ground wires, cleaned battery connections, (There was no sign of corrosion, new battery 3 months ago). None of this cured the problem. Could this be a alternator issue? Any help is appreciated.

Check the 3 wires harness going into the alternator.

I had one of those tiny wire break and had the same issues as you described. It was on 2012 Boss 302 though.
The wire broke right at the connector on the alternator side and had to splice a new connector.
