Other than my passion for cars I also have a passion for food, as I would hope we all do. I thought it would be cool to see if anyone else on here likes to cook and has any favorite recipes. Yeah I guess it is a little Betty Crooker-esque but who cares. Currently I am cooking up some Chicken Taco Melts that I found on Pinterest and they promise to be awesome. I added black beans and corn to the recipe to make it more south western IMO.

One of my favorites, not sure if it's from somewhere but my mother used to make it:
Baked Scrod stuffed and topped with butter and Ritz crackers. With mayo spread over the Scrod and rolled in the crackers. Mmm. Good with a Belgian white beer.

.I did have a thought the other day of bringing a saucepan and making some scrambled eggs on top of the intake manifold for lunch at my next autoX. If it turns out good I will share the recipe.

...subscribing-in for the recipe... :)...and pics...

Any update on the intake fried eggs?

I just tried Sriracha Honey baked wings (http://damndelicious.net/2013/12/06/baked-honey-sriracha-wings/) and Zucchini chips (http://www.tablefortwoblog.com/zucchini-chips/) and everything looks good except the zucchini which has shrunken to the size of button, told my wife the zucchini needed to be large but oh well.

Trying to find a particularly good chicken marsala recipe I use; might have to just take a picture of it. I must admit I triple all the sauce ingredients, though.

With Asian food, everyone thinks of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese. Most people don't even think of Korean food. Give it a shot yo! If you like meat, you will like Korean BBQ. Try some Galbi, you will love it.

I'll have to try that, I have always wanted bulgogi.

I love me some bulgolgi too. It's very similar to galbi just a different cut of meet that is shaved thinner. I like the thicker cut of the galbi short rib and you get more of char. Find yourself a good all you can eat Korean BBQ and try all the meats. Including the spicy sweet pork bulgolgi. Is it lunch time yet?

Is this the one?

Pretty sure I got it from you in the last food thread here.

I grew up doing a lot of cooking, but the baking was mostly done by the girls. Been trying to do more recently and one of my favorites are these Italian lemon cookies or 'Anginetti'

That Marsala sounds awesome. As for the baking, I too feel like it is more a woman's thing, not to be sexist. I don't know why it is I feel that way but I have never been able to get into it. I feel like cooking is more involved and therefore more fun.

YEP, that's the one--like I said, triple all the sauce ingredients and reduce it to a nice thick, flavorful beast. Takes a little while but tastes amazing.

A real simple dish, white beans ,rice, some hot sausage and sweet corn bread followed by an ice cold Abita Amber

Just in the last couple of years I've discovered cooking, I do enjoy it...my thing is a ADULT....
Mac n cheese! History lesson that I have learned is Thomas Jefferson gets the credit for creating it. On the Food wishes channel they have a great Thomas recipe.

I half-ass my mac & cheese in that I don't do real grated cheese or anything that would involve actually cooking.

Kraft Deluxe Mac & Cheese (w/ the "fancy" paste cheese)
1 can chunk light albacore tuna
1 cup peas
Pepper
Balsamic Vinegar

Open and drain the tuna.
Start the peas boiling in water then add the pasta and let it cook normally.
Drain the macaroni & peas w/ a strainer.
Add the tuna and cheese, pepper to cover the surface of the ingredients, and about 1 teaspoon of the balsamic vinegar.

Mix everything together and enjoy.

Nothing gourmet here but it's very tasty, filling, and relatively inexpensive.

When I have Kraft mac 'n cheese (I like the cheese powder better) I boil some Nathans beef hot dogs with the pasta and throw it all together. Easy and great with a beer.

Love me some hotdog water mac.

I have been since the other thread, and great advice for anyone trying it for the first time.

For my Mac n Yak, I just add some fine shredded cheddar, parmesan out of the shaker ground beef or meatballs and a bit of garlic salt.
