Part Number yotah1........................pleeeeeeaaazzze ! Actually, more interested in the basic " Darkhorse " Track machine, but figured those are being tested too? Likely it won't be El Cheapo enough for El Cheapo Checkbook but one has to ask and I haven't heart any pricing from any of my Ford friends.

GT3 is still production based, they use a more or less production tub

In other news, I read where Chevrolet has killed the Camaro again in favor of another EV. Not that I care for Chevrolet or Camaro, but I kind of feel like having the Camaro encouraged good competition and design for the Mustang. Also makes me wonder what they will field in NASCRAP.

Patrick, Be kind!!...your love of Chevys shines thru.........as well as "NASCRAP"......LOL.........I hated when Dodge left NASCAR..........and was shocked when Toyota came on board...Chevy has little to offer when Camaro disappears...........Corvette????....I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have known that the Challenger would be leaving the market after this year, and now Camaro is to follow, so the Mustang will soldier on and it's sales will likely increase without it's two protagonists. What is somewhat surprising is the demise of the Challenger first, as the Hemi Highway Humper has outsold both the Camaro and Mustang over the past few years. With the Camaro only selling something around 13,000 vehicles last year the end was coming from the bean counters. With the Challenger supposed to cease production in 2014, and then getting one reprieve after another, I do hope it surprises others and pulls off one more year, giving the Mustang a competitor as this always breeds improvements in brands in my estimation.

The Darkhorse may be the only Pony left in the race very soon, but in reality this will have one major benefit to most of us, the resale value will be huge.

Oh, no worries, we have already seen market increases on prior models of Mustangs with large increases in values in Fox and SN95 bodied cars. With the constant movement toward EV, or just the simple fact that cars like Mustangs will be built in limited numbers, it becomes a simple supply and demand scenario ---- prices will be stable and climb, albeit maybe only gradually.

......and PatientZero, as I noted in an earlier post, I know one of the Ford Stores I worked with alot ( there are 3 Blue Oval Dealerships within the Woodhouse Auto Family ) has 3 Darkhorses allocated in the future. Granted those are aways off , but there are two Mach 1s available at present ,along with some other GTs, so if you ( or anyone else ) want a person to chat with just drop me a note here , or you can even email me at [email protected]. I may not be selling anymore, but I can tell my TMO and racing friends the right folks to talk to.

PS - counting all three stores there are also 5 MachE GTs in stock now. With all the Stores ( they are primarily Truck Stores ) there are over 30 Broncos, Wildtraks, Diamond and Outer Banks editions. I don't get a thing helping folks here, I don't want anything as the Woodhouse Auto Family ( and more specifically the 3 Ford Stores ) continue to sponsor the Fast Fords and Mustang Roundup even though I have retired. They have every year and that is valuable to me and others as it is not just a fun track event, it has become a great gathering of friends since so many drivers have been coming to race the MPH event for over a decade.

Neither Chrysler, Fiat, or Stellantis ever seemed to commit much money for anything outside of Ram and Jeep. The Gen3 Hemi 5.7 engine really hasn't changed much (if at all) since 2009 and the 6.4 since 2011. I'm pretty sure the Hemi isn't going to be emissions compliant in most vehicles after 2024. I don't think Stellantis has the stomach to redesign the engine at this point, especially considering it would just be mostly for the North American market. It's sad, as other than it's propensity to eat lifters it's really a pretty nice engine, especially the 6.4/6.2.

Took them FOREVER to release the Hurricane I6, I don't suspect we'll see any other new ICE coming soon.

Frankly, having sold tons of Vipers, Challengers, SRTs, along with Mustangs , Raptors, Lightnings, GT 350s , GT 500s , etc. I can tell you that you are far from the truth. I was blessed, due in part from selling around 2000 Vipers, to get to know some key Engineers at what is now Stellantis. I would agree to your statements, to a degree, when Daimler was there, but the minute Fiat came in they started recontenting all cars and trucks. Daimler was just milking the company, and decontent was the word.

Just like Ford and GM who have constantly changed the 3.5 Ecoboost and the 5.0, the Hemi has been changed tremendously. Like Ford you don't take a motor and go from 400+ HP to 800 or 900 just slapping a turbo or supercharger on it.

Ironically working heavily on both sides I know the issues over the years that plagued some Fords and some Stellantis products and like all vehicles there are problems over the years -- most small , but a few with hassles. I have owned around 10 Hemis over the years and the one area I have never had a problem with was the motor -- other areas sure. I have been pretty lucky with Fords , also, as the only real engine problem I had was with a 99 Cobra, where the supplier forgot to angle cut the valves for Ford and early year Cobras that were down on power ( 20 HP ). The owners did receive a very nice leather SVT Cobra coat from the Blue Oval Boys for our inconvenience -- still hangs in my garage. Oh, yea, they fixed the valves too, ha.

I imagine we should probably offline this discussion at some point unless others here are interested. I've owned several Gen3 Hemi's, both the 5.7 and 6.4 BGE. I'm very familiar with these motors and the various configurations/changes but would enjoy hearing more from your perspective. What I know is they have a bad habit of eating lifters (at least after the MDS release) and cracking exhaust manifolds. Other then that they do seem reliable. The latest 5.7 revisions were way back in 2009 and essentially they've been using the same block, heads, cam, etc. ever since. The 6.4 SRT hasn't seen any significant changes since it was released in 2011 and BGE in 2014. Obviously the Hellcat has seen more revisions since 2015 with the Demon/Redye and now "Last Call" edition but essentially this is very low volume stuff.

Put this into perspective against Ford since 2009. They had a 3v 4.6, 3 generations of Coyotes, 1 Voodoo, 3 different GT500 motors. Plus several iterations/generations of the EcoBoost stuff while they've been talking about the Hurricane engine coming for years and years over on AllPar. And let's not get into the Charger/Challenger. ONE facelift since 2008. And yet they still outsell everyone else

As mentioned I like these engines, especially the 6.4 and 6.2. But it seems like the development just stagnated when some minor effort would have gone a long way. I was really excited when they kept teasing about the 426 coming back. And now we just get the Hoover edition going forward. Rant off, thanks for listening

Yes, please give us an SLA front suspension. Here's another piece also, Ford, when you do get around to giving us a proper SLA front suspension, NO shock towers. Do you realize the lowly Mustang II is the only Mustang that did not shock towers or strut towers?

I just stumbled across this. Looks like part of a press release that was mistakenly released early.

Due to the Big 3 US auto manufacturers focusing nearly exclusively on pickups and SUVs instead of cars, Bill France, Jr. has today announced that NASCAR competition vehicles starting with the 2024 season will be based on sport utility vehicles. And to appease the green movement and improve their ESG score, NASCAR is requiring all vehicles be full EVs. Ford has already agreed to compete using the Mustang Mach-E and Chevrolet with the upcoming Blazer EV. In conjunction with this NASCAR rule change, Stellantis has just announced they will be competing in 2024 with a new battery-powered version of the Dodge Durango called the Durango Hem-E.

Hard to believe that two parallel streams of R&D, pre-production fab, testing, etc could exist when one stream (current new cars) is only a year old...and when the second stream is using a core technology that likely can't run a gnat @ WOT for 100 miles max.

What's the NASCAR sales pitch: "Come see the Daytona 500...watch drivers change cars 8 times"...or...."at a death-defying top speed of 37mph".

And who says"appease the green movement" in a press release - without getting cancelled?

Hmmmmm...there's a lot of "April Fools" day here, methinks...
