MGW MT82 Shifter Install

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

Here is the link for those of you contemplating either buying or installing the MGW shifter in a 2010+Stang with the MT82 transmission. I just thought this new How-To folder would be an appropriate/convenient place to locate this reference material.

Nice start to what I'm sure will be a very useful thread. Hopefully others that install the MGW will add tips and photos of the install process.

Save the dawn for your dishes!!!
I installed the shifter today. Did the install using only car ramps under the front wheels. the instructions and videos are all you need to do the install....for the most part. The problem I had is they have made so many changes that not all the instructions are complete and are hard to flip back and forth to figure out what is what. the upper shifter now attaches with allen bolts (3/16" ball allen and vice grips best way to install those). and here is a pic of the easiest way to remove the shift knob and no I did not preheat it.
