Hubs are steel. It's the knuckle they (and all the suspension members) bolt onto that's aluminum.

No it’s not. I’m not talking about the knuckle. The GT350 bearing retainer hub is also aluminum. I know. I’ve had my whole car apart and replaced others before.

This is aluminum.
I removed everything from my car and modified it and weighed it all.

Of course the hub flange is steel, but the hub bolt retainer flange is aluminum.

That component wouldn’t make sense being aluminum. I had mine out as well when I pushed in longer ARP studs and I recall it being steel.

These pictures are when I was showing someone the difference in stud length. Notice the front bearing hubs are aluminum.

The yellow cars appear to be cast iron like the rears.

There are two parts, one steel and one aluminum.

Please keep this thread on track and drop the discussion on the hub.
