I'm installing a McLeod clutch on my 2006 GT with a stock TR3650.

I'm replacing the throw out bearing with an OE unit and replacing the master cylinder with a 13/14 GT500 one.

When I do the measurements for the preload I get these-

Bell housing to TOB is 2.65"

Engine to pressure plate fingers is 3.09"

So that should put preload at about .44"

Is the idea to shim the TOB to get closer to 1"? McLeod states a shim isn't included because it isn't necessary but the preload seems on the low side. This is the first S197 clutch I've done and I'd hate to have to pull the trans again, especially doing it on jack stands.
