This is hard to believe.... I bought a set of stepped tube headers from ebay for $250, then cut the end off and added a race collector. The results were better then the Kooks I had before and much cheaper. The ebay system was also more robust, was all welded instead of just pressed for in at the exhaust port end.

Would you expand on "better?" Better mid-range torque, higher peaks, eteceterra. I know Capaldi prefers a 1 3/4" header because it makes better mid-range torque. Peak power isn't as important to them because of Class power to weight limits.
