I always forget to figure in Madhatter's comments as I shut off all the " Nannies " and with them on it can cause more rapid rear brake pad usage. Good comment and something you and many others should consider.
I went through rear pads quickly when using R8 G-locs and found going to R10s still gave me a staggered set up front to rear ( was using R18s in front ) and it may just be the simple case that the rears need to bump up to a bit more aggressive pad from EBC? Maybe the RP1s in the rear and the...
You can do alot with an 18 inch wheel and many folks are running 315s with cars like yours and there is no need to cut fenders or anything ---- just wheels with the right offset and some 25mm spacers up front. Some may have had to roll the fenders but I have not had to do that on any of the...
The SoCal Trackrat is still not eligible for AARP membership , but the years are accumulating and he is getting close to being a Mature Mustang Maniac, ha! Actually, he is so darn young he can still look forward to another 25-30 years of burning rubber and continuing to annoy the Tesla faithful...
This is when we start finding out if the head of Ford Motorsports has some pull and clout. Pretty nuts when a new car is develeoped , it has shown not real strength, yet the powers that be still fear the Ford ...........in the words of Star Wars, may the Ford be with you!! Future success will be...
Tough question but there are quite a few CAMC racers on this site and honestly my first reaction is caution as power without other mods does not always spell success. I have to admit I like the T-56 swap , but I would have preferred a recent T 3160 swap a bit more as it is an easier change and...
Back to Black ..................for AC ( autocross ) to DC ( daytime cruising ) Duane is correct the RT 660 is the way to go , huge improvement over the 615 in my estimation.
So Dave Marx finally sent me a picture of his custom vehicle with a 4.6 liter Mustang V8 ....................I think he may have changed his name from Bruce Wayne to be incognito!
What is cool is that the owner of Marx Trailers is a car guy. He has a cool collection of VW Beetles and as noted a special car with a Mustang 4.6 V8 installed. Best experience I ever had getting a trailer and I will recommend his company to anyone who asks. For those in the immediate area the...
Dave Marx is a great guy and he actually has a really unique car with a 4.6 liter Mustang Motor installed. I will leave it at that and try to get a picture from him as it is way cool. The new trailer is perfect for an old fart, I should be able to get in and out super easy with the bigass side door!
DaveW has been doing racing decals for 25 years plus, so he do know what he be doing and there are a zillion SCCA and NASA drivers who swear by his company , Solo Performance.
American Family Insurance has been phenomenal, I already got the settlement monies and bought a new trailer from Marx Trailers in Sioux City, Iowa. It was the best experience I ever had getting a trailer, it is a family run business for over 60 years and you chat with the owner. At only about an...
Only us old guys may remember a movie quote from years back by Cary Grant, and I have to change the saying just a wee bit and utter a similar phrase to his to describe his emotions, " Julie, Julie , Julie!"
She sounds sweet, she looks so sexy and for those of us who no longer have a Boss or...
