stupid sounding question but hear me out....what grill is on the car. my 07 SGT would overheat with the CS8 grill i had on it. pulled the grilled and it still got toasty but it wouldn't go into limp mode.i solved all the issues by getting a bigger radiator. i expect that will be your final fix.
i should have prefaced with i have a 2007 but that being said the coyote has a more advanced PCM. my tuner had no issues with controling fuel pressure. they had it up and running WOT pulls in 30 minutes. no major issues thing runs like a dream.
i swapped to gt500 pumps only thing i had to do was wire in a second fuel pump driver. tuner took care of the rest. ive not had any issues with fuel starvation on track yet. granted ive only got a few events on the new setup but it hasnt been an issue yet. ive run it down to below 1/4 tank at...
your not going to pick up a ton of power going to E85 if your not boosted unless your engines higher compression. honestly even if your not flex fuel you can get away with just swapping whats in the tank. i carry a handheld tuner in the car at all times. if i ever ended up stuck somewhere...
i should clarify when i say its built strickly for it the only diference between it and a normal stroker 3v is higher compression. its running 11.7. like i said its poor mans race gas.prolly end up running the wifes race car on it once we get it up and running
im gonna have to disagree with you blacksheep. i run E85 in my 07. the engines built strictly for it however. E85 has a octane rating of around 102, depending on its ethanol content...and how you measure it.at the end of the day its poor mans race gas which is why i run it. its under 2...
if you really wanting flex fuel i have a suggestion. the 2010 5.4 3v f150s had flex fuel from the factory. you could snag a ECM from them and work from there. they used an inline ethanol sensor and multiple tuning tables just like modern flex fuel vehicles.
what tank did you go with? ive considered going to larger tank but im not sold on it yet.my current motor mandates E85 with its compression. running 11.7:1 could prolly get away with 93 but its hard to find here in Oklahoma.
mega powers in the future. I’m halfway through widening the whole car. Aiming for 325-345mm on the front. Can’t do that till I go to coil overs though. Will make sure not to get rid of the blue bar. I wish I had known the 18mm was the go to for the rear. Was at the junk yard last week could...
i cant argue with your logic, im still learning about balancing cars so im gonna go pickup hardware and install the bar this weekend.....i lost the original hardware when i moved. ill run a session or two then yank it off for a run.
so i haven't been to an open track event in a few years and have the first track day scheduled for the 28th. ive made several rather large changes to the cars setup recently...most notably the installation of rear fender flares and 345/30r19 pilot super sports in the rear. in short it feels like...
no ones responded to this so i'll chime in. you wont see a large enough gain to justify the expense of this. im running a bored out 300 CI stroker 4.6L 3v 7200RPM, 430rwhp N/A. i use ford racings larger throttle body(i think twin 62mm but i cant remember) and a JLT series 3 intake. my engine is...
hopefully this is the right forum for this. i have a 2007 Shelby gt(glorified gt i know) ive had for years and recently got into scca. im currently in the process of giving it a fairly substantial overhaul. im currently working my way through the aero on it...finishing up a 6 inch(from body...
