Stock or of course aftermarket CS fits just the same. Might as well upgrade it since the chains have to come off but isn’t ultimately necessary design wise.
Yes mine drinks quite a bit more with the Whipple and E85 for sure. The Radium has solved my fuel starvation issues which is all I was after keeping the fuel system intact and not incorporating external lines to a surge tank seeing that this car is street driven a lot. I still top off after...
In my case running E85 at the track burns faster and I top off before every session but it still wasn’t sufficient half way through the 20-25 minute run until I switched to this new setup.
Here's another short article showing the internals and there is a link in it to show the action of the venturi. You can get this with no pumps (add yourself) or one or two pumps as I chose...
Definitely get the Bowler harness if you can hold out. It has worked perfectly for over two years now on my T56 and I've always made sure others get it if I do their Tremec install. Everything said above from the post above by 67GTA is right on. The biggest issue being for the pulse output...
I’m using the Fore fuel controller that ran the other pumps as well as the wiring. Very easy change since all of that was already in place. Looking at the Fore hat pic above you can see where I cut the harness at.
So in an effort to help stop fuel starvation issues on road course high speed left hand turns or lengthy left handlers with lower fuel volume, I’m attempting to fix it with this first. I may be led to an additional external surge tank but trying to avoid that since the car is still mainly street...
Finally installed mine since the car is out of commission waiting on a camber plate bearing repair. Here is just a few more pics and one showing the impeller thickness difference. Runs perfectly but no temp data since the car isn’t drivable at the moment but I’ll be waiting for on track differences.
I did not use their backing plate. While it may be ‘better’, I don’t think it’s necessary only for the reason that we don’t change the backing plate when we upgrade to billet versions. I truly have no science to prove any difference but I’m sure Boundary has much more relevant testing data. 6...
Most presses have free moving adjustable plates. Use those plates to just support the back of the housing level and stable with the impeller being protected. The pulley mounting plate moves quite easily when the press is bearing down. Just place a socket over the shaft so it doesn’t get pressed...
No problem. Just be sure to measure from the bottom of the housing base. The gt500 impeller is a bit thicker. You may have it perfect but double check.
