Nothing. I got lucky in reference to that. Overall CarMax is in the business to sell cars and that car is gorgeous enough to still sell even without the side stripes. (I still think it looked better without the side stripes). The car has since sold BTW.
Well, I've got some bad news. I officially bought the car, drove it home and then to work on Saturday and decided to return it. Sorry. The best way I can explain my choice, and I've had two Fox body 5.0 mustangs and a 4 valve Cobra, is that I would have loved the Boss 302 as 28 year old, but...
I drove a very nice 2009 BMW 335i coupe while I was at CarMax. $7,000 less than the Boss, but I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face while merging onto the freeway at 90+ mph in the Boss.
I'd be interested in looking into the Fontana Speedway.I'm a little surprised as I received an owner's kit and car cover, but apparently this thing didn't come with a traditional owner's manual or a spare tire? There is some type of pump in the trunk, but no tire.
Well, I'm the proud new owner of a white Boss 302 with barely under 7,500 miles. I already peeled off the side stickers. Sorry.I'm located in the IE, specifically just east of Redlands.
They have a number of nice cars there, but they also have a few that are a little rough. The white Boss is in good condition other than the changes that they don't really come right out and mention ::). They tried the typical dealerships games with me. Offering me $1,200 for my mainstream...
Well, yes and no. The white Boss is quite a bit cheaper than the orange Boss for sale. The only difference is 7,000 miles. Does that constitute a price point difference of $4,000? And how can they not notice the difference in the two cars when they have two identical cars, save for color...
Good catch RR#206; "Another added bonus I picked up on while browsing the pictures. If the keys are a telltale sign, it also has QTP electronic exhaust cutouts with remote (the key fob is with the set of keys pictured)."When I drove the car it didn't have that QTP key fob attached to the...
"I even did a CarFax with no write ups."The point of my post is that this dealership is selling a Boss without disclosing the fact that the vehicle has a non OEM transmission. I would suspect for someone willing to spend $35,800 plus an additional 10% for sales tax (in Orange County;Costa...
$39,000 for less than 2,000 miles? Nice! That is a beautiful car, but I can't justify driving it back across the country. I'm confident I'll find a local one in time.
Yes. I saw the orange one there. They weren't willing to let me drive that one though.I drove the Boss first and then a 2008 BMW M3. I asked to drive the Boss again afterwards. The Tremec equipped Boss had a black ball shifter with "Tremec" on it. So that was the first clue obviously...
I'm ready to buy.Red or White 2012 Boss 302 with black top. Recaros and torsen limited rear end is a requirement. Strongly prefer a SoCal car. I am actively checking AutoTrader, EbayMotors, CarMax and CarGuru. Thanks.
It is being sold by a Mitsubishi dealership which likely has no information as to the swap, or doesn't want to acknowledge it for warranty and liability purposes. I'll probably continue to search for a completely stock Boss. I've had three V8 mustangs in the past and am well aware of...
