Re: those with shifter issues, enter now! They do have sharp edges. I posted a pic of my second gear synchro here. https://trackmustangsonline.com/index.php?topic=7917.0
I either hit something or ran over something that shot up and hit the bolt / cross member. If you look to the bottom right of the bolt about 1" away you see a lighter spot on the crossmember. There is a scrape there and the bolt has some of the top missing. It was obvious that the damage...
Grinding reverse happend out of the blue, the trans has always shifted horribly. I'm also highly skeptical of their diagnosis, I have a feeling the tech isnt very experienced with S197 mustangs.I wasnt sure if there was an upgrade to the OEM transmission cross member. What would you...

Those tires look like snow tires to me.
15k miles and the oem rears are toast anyway. The biggest gamble on that car fixes one of the cars major faults. The OEM trans/clutch is probably many peoples biggest complaint. Even if it had a less than optimal clutch/flywheel combo, its an easy...
You get a rear seat delete but add a metal brace, trans cooling scoop, front splitter, wider rear rims, gauge pack, and different tires. I'm sure i forgot some other weight adding items.
