  1. Recommendation for a tow hook

Yeah. I’ll do a proper introduction and build profile when I’m a bit more familiar with navigating the sight and I’m a bit more prepared
  2. Recommendation for a tow hook

I’m the rookie who immediately jumps on the most played out topic and you guys helped me out. That’s so cool. This is the first forum I’ve ever joined; with much hesitation; and I’m a bit more encouraged to participate since you didn’t make me feel any more unsmart than I already am. I’m here...
  3. S197 4.6L Supercharger

Good point about the COG. Good tip and one of the many things overlooked. Everyone here has valid points and there are so many points to consider if you might want to go this route. I’ve been reminded here that there isn’t a one size fits all. As far as upgrading a Mustang it’s kind of a...
  4. Supercharger belt upgrade

I haven’t completely overlooked possible alignment issues but can always be more informed. Nothing jumps out at me and my home garage skill set. I cant see anything bent, off axis or wobbling. No chirps or odd noise. Can’t feel any abnormalities in the pulleys or belt. It’s not my daily driver...
  5. Recommendation for a tow hook

Thanks to everyone for weighing in. Much appreciated. If I can do anything to prepare me for a potential “hole in the ground” I’d like to keep that hole as shallow as possible; as far above the 6ft depth as I can. For both me and the car. So thanks for sharing. I’ll learn
  6. Recommendation for a tow hook

My theories and the real world are often at odds
  7. Recommendation for a tow hook

Buttonwillow is a great track. Haven’t been their in years. I was on a bike and definitely plan on taking my car there. I looked at the driving school that they have there occasionally. Know anything about it? I think I found the rear at Watson Racing. The front bumper I found there says drag...
  8. Recommendation for a tow hook

Looks like it could work for me. Should be stronger than the boltIng a tow hook on to the stock bumper. I don’t plan as needing it to tow a trailer but plans can change. If you don’t mind let me know what you think when you get it in. Dig the Fairlane. What’s powering it.
  9. Recommendation for a tow hook

Thanks. Yeah I saw that the Blowfish sight said no longer available. Any ground clearance issues?
  10. Recommendation for a tow hook

Have you seen the hitch set up in person? I’m concerned about ground clearance because my driveway is quite steep Did you look at the sold posting here on page 5 of parts for sale? They Both look like FP ? Maybe the rear is discontinued Grapevine as in I-5?
  11. Recommendation for a tow hook

Good deal. I figured you and some others would get a kick out of that. There was a bit of a smirk on my face but still meant it. I do realize there is no magic pill or one size fits all. What do you think about my picks of the day? Any other “store bought” options I might not be aware of...
  12. Recommendation for a tow hook

Hey there. I hope you don’t mind me trying to PM you (never used it before) just hoping to pick your brain a little. I do understand that I’m at the mercy of the tow operator. I don’t presently have any plans of competing in any sort of timed events I’m just enjoying the smile I get at the...
  13. S197 4.6L Supercharger

There are tons of different kits out there by different manufacturers of varying price ranges. The old saying how much hp do you want, how much do you want to spend? All superchargers add a ton of heat and heat is the enemy of any internal combustion engine. At minimum a radiator upgrade over...
