I was doing this antenna thing in the blind. First get the ugly thing off the car, then figure out what to do with the hole. What I know is as in the earlier models (Fox) the holes were stamped due to no variations (all are radio equipped), Ford made antenna delete plates for non-radio...
Removed the radio antenna, simply remove the mast and unscrew the notched ring under it. Inside the inner liner in boot, reassembled the antenna and hung in fender well with tie wraps. Checked the radio, all FM freq's worked and just AM Fox News. Now what to do with the open hole. Tru-Value...
Having worked for Ford and Toyota, had experience with the PP cars. At Fords Yucca Proving Grounds (now closed) the Bullitts were red GT's with mods. Not really mules but assembly line cars, a mule in many cases is a previous model with the next model in and under (see the 15 mules that were...
I found an incredibly detailed 1/64 scale 12 Boss 302's at Walmart, white/black and red/black paint schemes, with opening hood. I sent the red to a friend and kept the white. Looks exactly like my car. Since I took it out of the packing and tossed it can't remember much about it. On the...
I had a '08 DHG Bullitt #0817, great car. Liked the basic, stealth look. Not like Boss, but on track days 110 Octane really brought the engine to life. Bullitt now resides somewhere in the UK.
Have the best of both worlds. '12 PW Boss as the toy and '14 IS ST3 as a daily driver. Did Track Attack, now booked for Octane Academy. In all reality the ST is more fun to drive, but taking the Boss out on weekends is fun too.
Doing Vegas, staying at Mandalay Bay (host). Don't expect to do track event, just wanna hangout, gamble, drink and of course look at the Mustangs, will be bringing the Boss. Don't know the parking details, would hope cars would be grouped, guess will see.
Talked to Boss owner in Watkins yesterday, he mentioned working with other Boss owners for a display at the Grey Beard show Thanksgiving. Planning to be in Denver for some "Wild Turkey" so will be going to the show. I'll wear a TRACK ATTACK shirt, BOSS won't be there.
"SNOWBOSS", 2012 Performance White, bot at Groove Ford, (BOSS S plate) here in Grand Junction. I know of 1 LS and 4 other Boss' here in GJ. At RMMR this year and Track Attack. Mods are: LS rear seat delete, Boss lowering springs & Hotchkiss panard bar, 302-S grill, FRPP front brake and...
I have the M-5300-T springs and the Hotchkis adjustable panard rod on order from Summit ( springs are $50 less than Ford + free shipping). Intent is better handling and less off road look.In general when lowering by the 35mm (slight axle offset to left side) rear and 15mm front there will be...
Fast Ford News has Ford Racing BOSS 302 specific lowering springs part number M-5300-T. Lowers rear by 35mm (about 1.5 inch) and front by 15mm (just past 1/2 inch). Price is $369 from Ford or about $ 320 from Summit. Ordered them along with the Hotchkis adjustable panard rod. Other completed...
Colorado requires a front plate, and my car was drilled by the dealer and they installed the plate mount with a stupid paper ad for the dealership. I removed it as soon as I got home, went to my local True Value and got some plastic plugs, carefully cleaned around the holes, inserted the the...
Oil will be oe spec. but the filter is a question. Ford dealer here says FL-500 is what they use for the Boss, but according to the info I have, Boss' have the FL-820S from the plant. According to the Ford Racing Parts the 820 will work. Any input?
