- Background & Plans
- Originally bought used in 2017 with only 6,557 miles as a way to cheer me up after a bad breakup. Found it used at an Infiniti dealership in Denver, CO while I was living in Detroit. Bought it sight unseen and drove it back home and it immediately made an impression.
I've tried my best to make it have the most direct possible 'feel' while not becoming a total NVH nightmare as our family recently added a little girl (Dec. 2023). I kinda want to subtly indoctrinate her into car culture with my Mustang, so I've kept her car seat base as a permanent fixture in the back (apart from when I'm at the track). Plan over time is to add more track-oriented longevity systems (diff + engine oil cooler, that sorta thing) and continue to build my skills and confidence behind the wheel before actually trying to make the car faster around a track. When that day comes, I'll probably go more towards lightweighting before attempting any power adders, but that may change.
