I reached out to NASA about our Lap Times system, and got this head scratching reply

NASA's response definitely could have been written a lot better but I would agree with others who mentioned the insurance and liability issues for anyone using it in hpde. I was just at a HOD event last week and when someone in the driver meeting asked if transponders were available, the...

    Project Super Trailer

Looking great! After every track weekend I tell myself it might be time to trade in the open trailer for enclosed. This gives me a bit of motivation to start looking this offseason.

I finally got around to coming up with a way to shroud my oil cooler. Even though my oil temps typically won't get much above 235 which isn't excessively hot, I'd still like to see them closer to the 220 mark. Either way, I enjoy the challenge of trying to come up with an idea to make...

I used the Steeda adjustable uca with poly bushings and it's held up well 4 seasons later. I read that the Roush uca was the hot ticket but I think that one has been discontinued. However, most of the quality manufacturers should provide a decent upgrade over the factory part. It's crazy how...

Good catch, that could have made for a really bad day...If you go with a 1 pc driveshaft, consider replacing your UCA with an adjustable unit so you can get the pinion angle dialed in. I went through two pinion seal replacements before figuring that out.

Agreed. It's amazing how much the smallest spacer changes the bump curve.

Did you measure bump curve or just eyeball it?

    NT01 tire wear

Yeah, the middle seems to have a bit more meat then the inner and outers. I think my alignment is pretty close to where is should be and my psi feels good around 35 hot, so not sure where else to adjust other than bumping up the psi a bit. Were those 10 2-day events before they corded? If...

    NT01 tire wear

Yeah, they have about 36-40 heat cycles. I'll probably throw the new set on and keep these as back ups. Good tip on that rehab article, might be a fun project to try out and see what the results are. Did you have any luck with it?

    NT01 tire wear

Yup, just ran Sonoma over the weekend so plenty of OPR out there to pick up. I'd like to think it's a sign my set up is spot on. Haha.

    NT01 tire wear

I run with NASA mostly, so 4 sessions per day. How many days are people typically getting out of these?

    NT01 tire wear

No flat spots on any of them, however that's three pics of the same tire. I figured I have two more days left on this set.

    NT01 tire wear

This is the first set of NT01s I've used and not sure how much further I can run them. Just finished my 9th track day with these, so I'm curious if anyone can give some feedback on how many laps they still have. I hired a pro coach for my next event and don't want to push having a tire issue...

    Is my trutrac trutoast?

I replaced my lsd with a truetrac last season and got the exact same noises first time out after install. I thought something was broken but my builder said there was some kind of shimming or something he could do to fix it. I chalked it up to the gt500 caliper brackets that don't have anti...

Great explanation DaveW. On second read through I agree with you he may have boiled the brakes. If he used a cheap Autozone DOT 4 with a lower boiling point or his system is still contaminated with DOT 3 and/or air, then this is the likely the case. However, a pad compound upgrade is a good...
