That's the correct one.You can set a car up 100 different ways and make it fast. But different setups on different cars for different conditions/tires/types of racing/etc... will all have strengths and weaknesses. For this project, people who want to not have a daily driver that will beat...

You still have significantly less compression travel than you would have with a shorter (my soon to be in the market) bump stop. You're likely hitting that stop more than you think and hurting rear grip in many normal, let alone aggressive driving conditions.

For this suspension and most Mustang Coilovers, you should not engage the bumpstops in pitch or roll - only over heavy vertical G loads and bumps.

    Eaton Truetrac High Speed Vibration

Likely the lash wasn't properly set when your diff was put back together. Did you also change the rear gear ratio or just put the truetrac in?

Budgeting for a new differential this year, need some opinions.

Torsens allow different wheel speeds inside to out. Often with the inside tire spinning faster than the outside tire since most of the torque is still lost though inside wheel spin if the car has sticky tires and or a stiff rear swaybar.Traction-loks have clutch plates that create friction...

Budgeting for a new differential this year, need some opinions.

Wavetracs look pretty cool. I'll be testing one in a few months. It potentially could be the best (simple install) option, but twice the price of a Truetrac if money is no object. A properly tuned salisbury is probably the best but most aren't able to set them up.

Torque seeks the path of least resistance. The unloaded tire is the path of least resistance. It's not as simple, cut and dry, or accurate to say that there is a 200lb difference acting in the outside tire in your example. It might be better to think of it as the inside tires grip (100lb)...

Budgeting for a new differential this year, need some opinions.

You could say the same thing about a locker, a spool, or a salisbury LSD. Cancelling (or any level of reducing) understeering yaw moments is NOT the same as over-driving the outside wheel and torque vectoring (introducing rotational yaw moments), which is what the Focus RS, Camaros, Ferraris...

Budgeting for a new differential this year, need some opinions.

You seem to have a bit of a chip on your shoulder and have taken comments out of context.Congrats on your successes. It's great to see people on track in Mustangs. There needs to be more of them! Now you first claimed the BOSS 302 street car, 302 racecar, and GT350 use the T2R. They do not...

Budgeting for a new differential this year, need some opinions.

Torsens don't lock 100% and those are not the 2 only outcomes when two tires are locked 100%.Pretty much every NASCAR out there uses lockers that lock 100% and ive also won a few pro races in an S197 equipped with a locker. They work quite well and can be an advantage over a torsen with a low...

Budgeting for a new differential this year, need some opinions.

You might want to give the MotoIQ.com LSD article that I wrote a read. You're still misunderstanding how Torsens work. Torsens are LIMITED by their TBR in sending power to the tire with the most grip (determined by the grip of the tire with less grip). The 3X the torque does not mean the...
