Hey everyone. I swapped an S550 rear subframe into my 99 Mustang. As per usual, I did it in video form and all linked below. The video take you from when it showed up on a pallet at my shop, all the way to the first race weekend. Enjoy!

Easy to find for much cheaper. Complete subframe ready to go with 3.55's was like $600. Plus its a unique swap so just wanted to do it. Kinda like when I did the 3.5 EcoBoost swap back in 2016. And like you mentioned, from what I could gather, its just a better subframe/rearend.OK so why the S550 instead of the Cobra IRS that came in the car? I realize that the s550 is superior, but I'm also pretty sure the SN95 Cobra unit can be made to work extremely well with the FTBR parts. {done it}
Also, we're trying to drum up more stuff in the sn95 forums, maybe it should be there instead?
BTW I love the tram bar
Me too, this was a very cool series of videos.Looks like something I would do..lol
I love this stuff
Everyone needs a whiteboard. Someone commented on one of my videos "Art time with AJ" haha. Makes it much easier to get my idea across sometimes I think.I need a garage whiteboard...
Yeah. IRS would need to go forward and/or cut off the "horns" that holds the sway bar.Do you think this could be done with the oem fuel tank? Looking at the first video around 19 minutes looks like you would need to move the irs 2 or 3 inches forward.
