I had Steeda mounts recommended to me as being good so I got a set. Turns out the fellow recommending them actually had BMR mounts installed, not Steeda. Last track day of the year at Mosport coming out of 5 onto the straight I got 3-6 shift, could not get 3-4 so had to park the car.
When I got it home and up on the lift I found the right side motor mount bolts were loose but I was suspicious it wasn't just loose bolts. On disassembly of the mounts today the mount material (both black and red bushings) is disintegrating and so it was collapsing. So obviously these mounts are not capable of taking heat, even with the heat shields in place.
So I'm looking at BMR now, but just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with any other mounts for an S550 for road course work? Don't want to go to solid mounts yet though as the car still gets driven on the street to and from the track and occasionally to go somewhere.
