I've been running Cup2 tires on my GT500 for track days and starting generally about 27psi cold and that tends to get me to 34-35 psi (and good grip) depending on track conditions.

I've just mounted a set of Nankang 325/30-20 tires (squared setup) and am curious if anyone has suggestions for cold tire pressures to start with. Any idea what the typical "optimum" pressure would be? This is for track use only.

Thanks!

I had 305/30/19 Nankang AR1's on 11 rims, so not an exact match to yours, but I found 28 psi cold would net me 32 psi hot, and that seemed to be where those tires liked to live. I had 6 of them mounted and with rotation I got a hell of a lot of wear out of them. Key is to keep them hooked up, don't slide them around. You also need lots of negative camber up front, at least -3 and even -4 if you can get it.
