Tires: Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 (275-40-18, 220 treadwear rating), second heat cycle
Event: Waterford Hills Bracket Race #4
Optimal was a 1:19.6, so there's still a lot of time left within my own skill bandwidth, let alone the car (which I'm sure could run even deeper into the 1:19s and beyond with someone more competent behind the wheel). Greasy surface with lots of marbles from prior slick-shod classes, and hot as hell (track temp was close to 110 deg. F, ambient close to 90 deg. F).
The two things I wish I could change about my setup: more front camber, and 500 more RPM up top. The latter was particularly frustrating as there were multiple points on track where I ran out of juice at the top of 3rd with no real reason or time to catch 4th. It's a bit of a self-inflicted wound as I downsized wheels (19" to 18") while keeping my tire aspect ratio the same and lost an apparently-noticeable amount of rolling circumference.
