Lap time details

Ran a 2:16.12 second session on Tuesday 8/20/2024. Very cool temps 60 degrees, a good day. Took a friend of mine out, so had some extra weight in the car as well.

The first two laps in this video were the best times, 2:16.6 and 2:16.1

Never felt more "alive" than driving WGI. It's absolutely awesome. Took me some time to re-calibrate my survival instincts to the corners, as 9 of the 11 turns have banking (camber) that averages 6%. You can carry some serious speed through many of these corners once you adjust to what's possible in terms of lateral g's. Having said that, you also have to respect the downhill braking zones at T1, and T6 going into the laces of the boot. It's my favorite track, and I have about 30 track days there since summer 2020.
