But that just meant I went back to Time Trials , autocrossing and more. 72 now, and will be campaigning a new car this year , but playing on asphalt is what keeps one young -- I do so agree with what Patrick Stapler noted!

Everything I have of any real value is here in my shop or gear in my music studio, which I'm too old to play anymore....hands don't work like they used to.
Still got a handful of Les Pauls, Strats, Basses, acoustics and Marshall stacks laying around. Got a whole Double wide roll away tool box full of effects pedals.....those will all have to go too I suppose.
States I've been looking at are Idaho, Texas, Tennessee and Florida.

A lot of Tennessee still has reasonable housing costs. There is no state income tax but sales tax is 9.25%. The winters are relatively mild. The Knoxville area averages less than 5 inches of snow annually. There are some great tracks within 4 hours radius.

I moved out of SoCal (Lancaster/Palmdale) back in 2011, went to Northwest Iowa for about 7 years, moved to middle Tennessee back in 2017. Love it here! If I could make the choice again, I would have moved to the Knoxville area. For us TN has been great for family life and is business friendly.

Growing up in Lancaster/Palmdale was cool in the sense that we always had some cool military aircraft flying overhead. My brother and I saw the SR71 twice, so cool! The B1 was mega loud, but the U2 sounds like a friggin rocket until it disappears in the sky and throttles back. Willowsprings was our home track and where I raced karts growing up. I hate the wind, the nonstop strong dusty dry wind and would never ... NEVER move back.
