I just crossed 75k miles on my 2012 Boss, and figured it was time to freshen it up a bit by doing a full round of fluids. Engine oil, trans fluid, diff fluid, brake fluid, and coolant. It sees monthly autocross and frequent spirited backroad driving (all legal of course) in the south Texas heat. It’s also my DD, and I put about 25k miles on it per year, so I don’t want something too hardcore I’ll have to change super frequently. I’m stuck on deciding what fluids to put in it as everyone has their favorite. Currently I’m thinking this:
Engine oil - Motorcraft 5W50 (as recommended in the owner’s manual)
Trans fluid - Redline MTL (https://www.redlineoil.com/mtl-75w80-gl-4-gear-oil)
Diff fluid - Redline lightweight shockproof (https://www.redlineoil.com/lightweight-shockproof) or Royal Purple 75W140 (https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p...EnVqX-RP38rNZrz0ZjxoChwgQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
Brake fluid - some kind of Dot4 or high quality Dot3 to deal with heat and the shared brake/clutch master cylinder
Coolant - Motorcraft Orange VC-3-B (as recommended in the owner’s manual)
Anything I missed or things I should consider? Thanks!
