Hello all,
First time posting. I'm relatively new to the the Mustang platform, but have done HPDE events over the years in many different cars. I recently ran a set of R12 pads in an event at Mid Ohio Race course. The brakes performed great. By my last session I had full confidence in them and experienced consistent performance with no fade or other issues. I've driven at Mid Ohio several times, but this was my first time with Gloc. After getting home from the event I disassembled everything to inspect. All of the pads looked great except for one outer pad on the front driver's side. The pad had begun to chunk pretty badly at the center. The pads were bed properly on new rotors, and I don't believe they were over/under driven or improperly used. I'm curious as to what might have caused this, and if it's ok to continue to use them?
Details on the car:
2017 Mustang GT Performance Pack w/brembos
305 Square Michelin PS4S Tire
R12 compound front and rear
Castrol SRF fluid
First pic is the inner pad, seconds pics are the outer.
