Dave, You are so right, but when St Patty day gets in full gear, I'm sure those "Irish" folks don't care what color that beer/ale is!!!............Very interesting your grandmother used ham like my Parents...........That's my preference also.........I do the corned beef for Hon.............Green beer? Who drinks green beer?
The only New England boiled dinner I know of and still make is corned beef ,potatoes ,carrots and cabbage and I like to put in onions. I was born and raised in MassachusettsGreen beer? Who drinks green beer?

New England Boiled Dinner was usually a Daisy ham, or sometimes beef tongue.
Me too.....I add 2 chopped onions while I simmer the corned beef for at least 3 hrs. I know Irish soda bread goes with this dish.....I never had it.....I like corn bread with my corned beef dinner.I like to put in onions
If I knew in advance, I would have gotten a pizza.............Plan on making my St Paddy's Day dinner tomorrow.....I know Friday is the day, but so be it!!...Hon getting anxious.....celebrating pie day?

Patrick, I NEVER use my for phone other than to connect with Hon, Son.......That's why I don't know how to post pics!.....I only get on TMO on my home internet..........old school, but CHEAP, like me...Do you access the site from your phone?
