@ blacksheep-1 I would set up a recovery and have a few construction blowers rented and ready to dry her out.

I believe it’s just the synchros but with every missed shift the ratchet in the shifter selects another gear and you end up in 4th or 5th or 6th, then you have to shift it back down and grind them all over again looking for 3rd.Oh boy! that was hard to watch... Is this just the syncros? Or is the shifter at fault as well??
No he did not.You know, now that i think about it... that guy in tech doing the dyno on Saturday probably didnt help us out for sundays race

The guy operating the dyno didn't know how to use it properly and it was pretty ugly there for a minute....he let me back it down off the dyno after that.elaborate?
And he's not in the hospital? You guys must have the patience of saints. The guy thought the transmission was sequential and its not just a sequential shifter, so he ran threw a handful of gears without using the clutch and ground some gears
Fabman is a survivor of all kinds of adversity.....that's why he's lasted this long.......................after a number of difficult setbacks
Wonderful....Okay here is the video file, entered into the TMO Database.

How many race weekends did you get out of the Magnum XL? Also, on the bad call that moved you to the back of the pack was this initiated by a race official or did another driver lodge a complaint? I am just curious since I haven't raced w2w and I'm still learning how these things work.I believe it’s just the synchros but with every missed shift the ratchet in the shifter selects another gear and you end up in 4th or 5th or 6th, then you have to shift it back down and grind them all over again looking for 3rd.
The first one lasted quite a while with the blown 3v and is still going strong in another car but the second one started having issues half way through the first season with the coyote. Probably because I wind this motor so tight....I don't think that trans is designed for 8200 rpm shifts. As for the flag, an official brought it to my attention in impound. How many race weekends did you get out of the Magnum XL? If / when you have it rebuilt, upgrading the blockers and synchros, installing bronze shift pads, shifter bushings, polishing the intervals are a good idea. Liberty Gear does good work and bundles this and some other improvements as a package. But, turn around is 3 - 5 months. Of course, they also do faceplating….The first one lasted quite a while with the blown 3v and is still going strong in another car but the second one started having issues half way through the first season with the coyote. Mine has been going strong since 2015, but I usually shift at 7,500 and occasionally at 7,800.
