I noticed tapered pad wear on the lower piston area on the driver's side of my 97 Cobra running 4 piston Brembo calipers with Carbotech XP12 pads and Girodisc 13" rotors. The dust seals are destroyed. I don't notice any leaks, but I wonder if replacing the seals will help at all. Does anyone have a part number on a rebuild kit? Any information as you why I am getting tapered pad wear? I didn't notice any on my last set of XP12 pads on solid one piece rotors. The brakes also have 3' ducting to them with Ford Racing wheels running 255/45/17 Falken RT615K+ tires.

I decided to leave the brakes after seeing similar tapered wear on other Brembo calipers in newer condition. The deteriorating boots shouldn’t affect anything, but I’ll keep a close eye for any leaks in the future. Thanks for the part numbers.
