S550 S550 ONLY - Do you need to remove this to install racing steering wheel?

Depends on the hub you use. If it has holes for it then yes. I have the MMR hub and I removed mine. I don’t think I was able to keep the clock spring on it.
And out of curiosity what did you do regarding the harness, do you retain any of the steering wheel buttons functionality?

since I took out the radio and don’t need cruise control on track, I only kept the buttons to navigate the cluster menu like most people do. I opened up the clock spring and stashed the ribbon underneath the steering wheel. I did cut wires from the steering wheel harness (the harness the is lifted with the steering wheel when you remove it) and only kept the nav and horn wires.

MMR now has a module that plugs into the OBD port for you to retain all controls
