I originally had a much more elaborate plan but after hearing these mufflers I decided not to hang any more junk behind the bumper unless I had to, so the re direct was done. Hope this wasn't a mistake.
I don't mind doing the extra fab work, I'd just hate to show up and get black flagged. Again. :-[

Even if it doesn't pass, it's *far* from a mistake. I think it's an excellent solution, even if it's a first iteration. Regardless, your work is inspiring!

I do wonder if something like this would work for GT350s, bolted within the fake tips.

Thanks for the offer! But the Boss and FakeR only need discs in the side pipes to pass the lower Laguna Seca limits. It's just the GT350 owners that face the problem bone-stock!

Changed front hubs and added 6 pot S550 calipers to the BAUS. Also heated and hammered on new ABS rings on new Moser rear axles, in the over at450 for a half hour helped, a little.
Tomorrow changing out rear upper and lower control arms (Multimatic, Boss 302S), changing axle bearings, seals and axles, getting ready for Cortex Watts link installation.

Steve, you're going to love the wattslink!

Just be careful when torquing the smaller 2 outer bolts that hold the flat metal bracket on the axle cover. My torque wrench never clicked at the recommended torque and I over tightened the bolts, causing the bracket to bend and the spacers to compress and deform. I know you have more experience than me, so you wont probably make my rookie mistakes ::), but just a heads up!

What did you have to do to make the S550 6 Pistons fit on a S197?

The Boss is now in winter hibernation, in the heated garage under the car cover.

Also received tracking for next season's track shoes - Bridgestone RE-71R in 275/35/18. Sure, I could go with takeoff slicks, but I have plenty of fun on street tires, and Bill P. has mentioned numerous times they are very good, so I'll give them a shot.
I'll get them mounted up, then put away for the winter.
