I think that's actually a rear end assembly - you can make out one of the toe links on the right side. Could be using the same upright/knuckle at all 4 corners to reduce spare parts inventory, with tie rods at front and toe link at the rear. If it is a front end, I agree that the wishbones are awfully wide. Which I think is what the dark wooly one was referring to - as soon as the driver puts in some steering lock, the inside wheel rim would machine through the wisbone. Being a rear end, they may run a wheel with less backspacing than in the front (e.g., Trans Am TA1 or IMSA DPi) so the wide arms are even less of a concern.New tubular front end for a tubular twin turbo V8 M3
