Hey all,
I've come to the conclusion that I need to upgrade from the stock brake pads on the track. I'm primarily taking the car to Road Atlanta, and I haven't had any issues with the stock pads, but they're only lasting for about 2.5 HPDE days. Also, with the addition of MPSC2 tires on my most recent day, I noticed the pads were working even harder, so that may result in only 2 HPDE days on them. I've researched the forum and came up with the three brands listed below. I've put some notes down based on my research. Any insight would be much appreciated, especially from those of you with experience with all of these. Also would like to mention that I already have SS brake lines and run Castrol SRF. I'm not really looking for the best value, but really just looking to see what you guys think is the best option for improved stopping and increased life. I put a lot of value on brakes working properly and don't want to sacrifice that to save a little $. That being said, I feel like any of these options would not be a compromise. Might also be worth mentioning that I won't be switching to slicks anytime soon.
G-Loc - I've used these before on another car with good results. I'm leaning towards these again. Most likely the R16front/R12rear (I had the R12/R10 on my 2015 GT). I feel like these should be good for 5-6 days with an obvious improvement in stopping power.
Pagid RS29 - The consensus seems to be that people like these for their improved stopping over stock pads and their ability to last many track days. My understanding is somewhere in the range of 8-9 days.
Raybestos ST43 - Improved stopping power, less rotor wear, improved pad life over stock. How many days?
