Going ----will be there to tell stories about how fast I used to be and regale the crowd with exaggerated skills and talent. Usually this occurs after a few beers and I do request you do the same , it makes the lies, er, stories so much better. Fun time and you will find more serious track focused Mustangs than almost anywhere in the US. Enough track time that you will actually be tired at the end of each day!

health permitting, I too will be there again... hope to bring my 67 Fastback this year.. it will feel odd... my Boss has been to almost all of them, only missed the first year... I can provide truth interpretation for Bill...

Minor note to those who have not run at MPH for 4-5 years , the track has been completely repaved in the past few years and is mega smooth and about 2-4 seconds faster . I realize many folks are aware of this but just a quick note to let folks who may have come in years past that the babies butt pavement makes for extremely quick times compared to years past, and much less wear on tires. The gentleman who did the original paving was also an original owner, and when the track was repaved he invested in a new paving machine that laid super wide sections so the track is unlike almost any around with only 2 seams. In reality this means there is just one seam in the middle so stiction is nuts!! Sadly Mr. Werner passed away this year, but he was a serious gearhead and even though he was no longer an owner he had alot of pride in Motorsports Park Hastings and the repaving was one of his crowning achievements in helping elevate the road course.

Was Mr. Werner the guy with the hot rod Caddy at last years event?

Yes, he was the guy who killed all the mosquito population with a giant burnout at last year's event. He may not have been an owner anymore, but the amount of goodwill and funds he helped with at MPH could not ever be expressed, he was an integral part of the track's success. To get an entirely new paving machine to give the track a two seam system instead of the common three seam procedure, showed his desire to keep MPH at the top echelon for track smoothness and consistency. He had a ton of machines in his business so there was no real need for the new one, but he wanted it redone at MPH with the newest technology..............I am thankful as the track is smoother than a baby's buttocks, ha!

The results of his efforts and desire to ensure MPH stays a top quality facility is appreciated.

He was a character and the current owners will tell you that even after Werner stopped being part of the track , his help and contributions did not cease. Hastings is such a car crazy town for a small population of 25,000 folks. Those that have not been there before will be amazed when the track condo garages open up and they see all the cool stuff at this 2.1 mile track. Rumor is Terry Klatt will open up his collection again this year ( basically a Museum of automotive art, racing , collectibles and whimsy ). This event should be on all TMO member's " Bucket List " and in years past we have had participants from Idaho, Arizona, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, etc. and not just the States within 2-8 hour drive away.

It’s worth the drive just to see Terrys collection and experience his hospitality. The cars and track time is great also.

I plan to show up with my Mustang hybrid but it is not a Mach E ( since that is a pure EV ).
