New PB at Summit Main this weekend. 1:25.52 on Conti scrubs (12 cycles) and BIG Ford horsepower. Had a great time with FD Sako, 2012_Boss(steve), Mustang Don, Tony , Greg Pro, Kevin and many others. Well not so many as we had about 23 attendees and over 9 hours of track time over the two days. I did 360 miles on track and packed up at 1:00pm on Sunday after just wearing out those Contis.

That was a good weekend - I've never had so much track time available. I wore through my front Contis as well.

It was great seeing you guys again and meeting new mustang owners.
I have to say, to this date, that was one of the most fun events I've attended, which makes me really consider their next VIR event!

Heres a quick video of one of my runs. I think I need to invest in a timer app soon to make further improvements... and study Steve's video!

Ran a new personal best at Barber yesterday --- 1:48.03
Stock engine, drive train, tires, and suspension (except for camber bolts).
Great day until the clutch went belly up -- big time -- for real.
Here's a link to the good lap.

1:24.1 Hallett CCW. This was with a passenger so a 1:23 is definitely in the cards... Never had a session by myself.

Wow, that's an awesome time! I can't touch that WITHOUT a passenger.

Are you going to make it to TWS this weekend for NASA? Not much longer till they tear the track down.

Thanks smitty! I've got quite a bit of time on this track. The stars aligned for me that day :)

Not going to be at TWS this weekend but I'm hopeful to make it there early next year before it's gone. I've only done 2 days there and would like a few more. Really fun track.

New personal best at Limerock today: 1.04.3.

GT Track Pack, Street tires (300 tread), suspension, stock engine/exhaust

I had planned to be on my new r-comps for the 2nd half of the day, but my socket was too big to allow the lugs to be torqued on the new wheels! Did not see that one coming... so new, 19mm lug nuts are on order to support a 19mm socket instead of the 21mm OEM lugs... really wanted to see what the car could do on the new tires, but will have to wait another 2 weeks instead.

TWS CCW 359 HP, Toyo RRs 1:53.4 VERY happy with that ;D

ECR 365 HP, Toyo RA1s 1:59.2 AI track record

Road Atlanta 359 HP, Toyo RRs 1:36.7

Smitty, how many cycles are you getting out of the RRs before they fall off? I'm considering switching to RRs in 275 in 2015...
Congrats on the record, btw!

Nice driving Derek, that's a really narrow track would make me a bit nervous compared to the wide open tracks out here

Derek killed it under very cool, damp conditions. I only managed a 1.04:82 on R888s. Tip of the hat.
Yes our Eastern tracks are surrounded by many things to explore if you go off. 2 bad hits yesterday for a BMW and a Porsche. No injuries and numerous other spins. I'm back there today with Pete and 2012-Boss happily in the sunshine and 65 degree temps.

I hope today is a nice, sunny, warm(er) day for you guys at LRP. Appreciate the kind words as always - I had a blast with those R1's yesterday. Very happy I bought 8 of them :)

Dan sends his thanks again for riding along. He was extremely quick to come tell me that I must, immediately, get 6 point harnesses because they were incredible. And he was highly impressed with the way your car stuck in the corners and took off on the straights. Couldn't get over how it revved in 4th down the main straight. Nice driving sir!

There were quite a few off track adventures yesterday. Always unfortunate to see, but it seemed most of the incidents were on people's first lap out for a new session. I'll happily play it safe and give all the point bys in the world on my warm up laps on a cold day!!! Otherwise, perfect way to end the season for me. Time to go get my axle checked out and then tuck the car away for a long winter.

It was nice to meet Stevepro at limerock and hangout a little. Wet track day 3 year old pzeros didn't like it nor did the driver. Best lap was in the last run group 1:05.413. Stock car with track key and open side pipes. I think I under estimated the cool temps. I haven't driven the track since 08. Derek with the new tires on drove by me like I was standing still. Good lap.

Matt
